3D bridge structure curated from pentagon and tetrahedral forms

Overview: For this tectonic project, I incorporated pentagon and tetrahedral forms to construct a static, rigid structure spanning 24” while supporting a standard clay brick at midspan. The structural elements included 1/8” x 1/8” and 1/16” x 1/16” section basswood, water-based glue, and paper. The paper highlights the place to dwell within the structure and indicates an accessible sheltering enclosure.
